I would recommend a company in Oregon, but they might be too far for you. I know a man in Lakeside taht will install them for you.
PM me and I will give you his telephone number he has a mobile RV repair shop. Will coem to you.

RE: Heel Spurs

I too have had this problem 3 times now. The first time I got expensive orthotics for my shoes and hated them because I could only wear them with one pair of shoes. The pain seemed to go away after about 8 months.
The 2nd time I could not afford the inserts and started flexing my foot at the ankle, pointing my toes back to my body. This pulls and lengthens the muscles in your calf and the ligiments that attach to your heel bone.
Heel spurs are caused by the ligiments pulling on the heel bone thus causing a spur to form. If the ligiments are kept supple and strenthened the spur can't form.
One thing that really helps when you first get out of bed in the morning or when you are getting up from a chair is to flex your foot several times before standing, by doing this you are warming up the muscles and ligiments so they aren't stiff when you take your first steps.
I work for the school district and after having the summer off I noticed that my heels were starting to bother me again. I got some Dr. Scholls Messaging Gel inserts and I just want to tell you that they have saved my life and my job. I would reccommend them to everyone. They are so confortable and you will wonder how you walked before using them.
They come in a clear package and you can see the blue and purple gel placements. They feel really cool the first time you put your foot in the shoe and it is a nice feeling on a sore heel.
The inserts are kind of tricky to put in so here's how I did mine; I cut them to the correct shoe size, some might need to cut to a half size smaller than the shoe. Start at the toe end of the insert and roll it towards the heel several times. Put it in the shoe and make sure the heel end is snug against the heel of your shoe then start to roll the toe end towards the toe of the shoe. Smooth it out and make sure it is even on both sides.
I got my first pair at the grocery store for about $16.00 but found them at Walmart for just $10.00, big savings for the same thing.
I know the pain from heel spurs can be excruciating and makes you want to just sit and do nothing but it can be helped by doing the heel flex and using these inserts. Hope this helps someone

RE: Low voltage at the CG...what do you do?

I agree witj thgoodman.....but I have one question; would a bore cleaner work from a pistol cleaning kit?
It may work once or twice, barely, but your gonna ruin that bore cleaner.
The Real McCoy is called for here.
What about removing the CG worn out outlet, and installing your own good outlet. Of course remove your good outlet and reinstall the CG junk outlet when it is time to leave.
I no longer have the pistol that the bore cleaner goes to. But I have 6 U2200 Interstate battery's, I have yet to put in an inverter, so I can be off grid also. Who really needs a campground with full hook ups anyway.
One of the reasons my signature says beware of KQ Ranch/CRA Resorts. Is a bad pedestal that screwed up my RV electrical system.

I still like my Federal Siren, it cost a lot less than the train horns, but I might get a train horn set also.
Driving here in Mexifornia, you need something to get the people with Baja plates never mind.:R

RE: Low voltage at the CG...what do you do?

As is said in my last post I have one of those meters from CW. I also have a surge protecter but I also have my own solar set up. I really don't need to even hook up in a campground. I guess I could say I qualify as to be able say we are completly self contained.

RE: Low voltage at the CG...what do you do?

I also have one of those meters from CW, They work well to see if power is there. I don't trust it I use my Fluke77 I have had it for many years and I trust it more than a $12.95 that just monitors the voltage.

RE: UPGRADING our INVERTER? How? Where? What? What else?

Well I have 6 Interstate U2200 6v batterys. I have 2 100w panels. I am going to add an Xantrex Prosine 2.0 2000 Watt Sine Wave Inverter/Charger,to the system. I want to be able to run my micro wave and a couple of commerical sewing machines. I know I do not need a pure sine wave, but when you have a $6500.00 sewing machine that has a computer in it. You need a pure sine wave inverter.

RE: CPAP and OXYGEN

JTBauern,
Welcome to the forum, I use a Resperonics M Series Bipap Auto. I bought a 12v cable for my machine, I also bought an emergency battery from this company
I am not sure about your oxygen concentrator.
I have been on Cpap/Bipap tretment since 2005. In my RV I added 4 additional 6v Interstate batterys, I also replaced the two coach batterys at the same time. I had a 10w trickle charge panel and could go for about 4 to 5 days boondocking without having to start the generator. I Put in two 100w panels and a charge controller from this company . If I wouldn't run out of water I could go 2 to 3 weeks now boondocking with out having to start the generator.
If you would like more info about cpap I would say that you and your wife shold join if you do not already belong to the forum.
If you want some more info PM me.

RE: Propane detector acting odd

While we were on a trip last month (August) I plugged into a power pedestal about an hour later there was a power surge. Knocked all of the power out. Later that night our Propane detector went off.
A day or so again the propane detector went off, only this time we had left for the evening and went to a resturant and had dinner, we closed the vents.
this has happened several times before. took the rv to the shop and they checked the detector and found nothing wrong. Go figure.....I guess we should just buy a new detector.

RE: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

I had a 1977 Brougham, We bought it from a former friend :R:M, I could go on for hours about the MFH (motorhome from he..) The best thing we could have done with it was leave it on the side of the road and walk away from it :W:B:R:o
We went on a trip with it. On the way home everything quit.....winshield wipers, defroster, heater, headlights.
And that wasn't the worst trip we ever had in it.

RE: Bridgeport Ca, to Santa Cruz Ca.

JT
this young man I know that is also a ham tells me to take 108 he did with a 53 ft. trailer
---
A 53' trailer? This ham operator fellow has apparently had his head a little too close to the radio waves for some time.
He's talking about doing it with a Semi-Tractor trailer rig.
If you believe that we have about 3500 acres of swamp land for sale in Florida I will sell to you cheap;)
